U2 TO RELEASE A SECOND ALBUM IN 2009?

U2 may release a second album this year. That would be the quickest follow up by them ever. They told MTV News that the songs that they were recording with Rick Rubin in 2006, before they reunited with producers Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite, weren't really right for what they wanted to do this time around. I think this time they were going for a bit of an Achtung Baby semi-techno sound, and Rubin wanted them to stick with the guitar/bass/drums format of How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. I would love to see them put out a second album in one year. But with a tour starting soon, I don't know how they could swing it. I've been wondering what the songs from the Rubin sessions were like, hopefully we'll all find out later this year.
